BAT BOY: THE MUSICAL
I had a great amount of fun with mixing and sound designing Bat Boy. Creating a VCA cuing sheet and programming on the QL5 was challenging but extremely rewarding. Learning how to truly mix a musical was a great educational experience. Bat Boy: The Musical is a comedic rock musical based on a 1992 tabloid story about a half-boy, half-bat creature discovered in a West Virginia cave. The show follows Edgar, the Bat Boy, as a local veterinarian's family takes him in and struggles to fit into a society that fears and rejects him. Through a mix of horror, satire, and rock music, the musical explores themes of prejudice, identity, and acceptance.
