​As always, I had a blast working on Little Shop of Horrors with MTR. I have been a fan of this show for a very long time, and it was a dream to work on it. Since this is the second show I have designed for them in the Scene Dock, I have improved my sound design choices for the theatre and my design techniques. I used my personal speaker, placed near Audrey 2, to reinforce the powerful and grotesque nature of the show. Little Shop of Horrors is a dark comedy musical about Seymour, a shy flower shop assistant who discovers a mysterious plant he names Audrey II. The plant brings him success and fame—but it feeds on human blood. As Audrey II grows, it becomes more demanding and manipulative, pushing Seymour to commit increasingly terrible acts. In the end, the plant’s hunger spirals out of control, leading to disastrous consequences.
